During laboratory tests for the presence of the 2019-nCov coronovirus in the materials studied, specialists from the National Center of Expertise and the Central Reference Laboratory did not detect the virus.

The study showed 17 cases of influenza and 17 cases of influenza-like infections.

Since January 26 of this year, the National Center of Expertise has been receiving samples from medical institutions from patients who arrived from the PRC and showed symptoms of ARVI with elevated temperature.

Between January 26 and February 3, the National Center of Expertise received 249 materials for testing from 101 patients and 148 contact persons, including 82 students from Wuhan, 12 accompanying persons and flight attendants.

It should be noted that the National Center of Expertise conducts studies of smears from the upper respiratory tract for coronavirus 2019-nCov, as well as for influenza and influenza-like viral infections according to epidemiological indications on a free basis.

In addition, samples of material (blood, swabs from the upper respiratory tract) are sent to the Central Reference Laboratory of the National Scientific Center for Particularly Dangerous Infections named after M. Aikimbaev for parallel testing for coronavirus 2019-nCov.
