For the first quarter of 2019, 2 602 cases of violations by manufacturers of meat and confectionery products of the declared standards were revealed in Kazakhstan, the National Center for Expertise of Medicines reported.

“In poultry meat, 307 cases of non-compliance were revealed, meat and meat products - 425, fish products - 123, culinary and confectionery products –124,” the press service of the National Center for Expertise said.

Canned beef and convenience foods were tested for animal DNA. In 125 samples, non-compliance was found. In seven samples found GMOs (instant noodles made in Korea). The fatty acid composition in milk and dairy products in 25 samples also revealed violations.
